Founder of outdoor apparel company Patagonia, Yvon pioneered sustainable business practices and environmental activism. Under his leadership, Patagonia has become a model for corporate responsibility, advocating for environmental conservation, fair labour practices, and sustainable supply chains. He has recently given up his billionaire status since giving Patagonia to a trust and a nonprofit in September 2022 after declaring, “Earth is now our only shareholder”.
